POSITION SUMMARY:


The Sisters of St. Joseph are looking for a Facilities Supervisor who is responsible for the supervision of the CSJ Convent. The Supervisor will oversee the CSJ convent facility operations, coordinate day-to-day

maintenance and repairs, discuss major concerns with the Administrator and Facilities

Director, handle moves, and manage housekeeping and custodial personnel, all while

remaining compliant with safety protocols. The key responsibilities are the management of

Housekeeping and Custodians for the daily physical cleanliness of the building for the safety

of the Sisters and property, and for all minor repairs within the Convent. Maintain an

inventory of supplies and equipment.


QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Degree or certification in facilities management, building operations, or a related field preferred

Minimum 5 years of facilities or building management experience

Supervisory experience managing custodial or housekeeping staff

Strong mechanical aptitude

Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Willingness to be on-call for building emergencies

Strong attendance and punctuality


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Track and manage facility service requests and ensure completion within established timelines

Conduct regular building inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns

Monitor remodeling or repair projects to ensure compliance with safety standards

Supervise housekeeping and custodial staff

Assign daily and weekly work schedules

Approve timesheets and monitor attendance

Provide training and guidance to staff

Oversee and assist when necessary with cleaning Building area

Respond to maintenance requests from Sisters and staff

Coordinate larger repairs with outside vendors

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, paper goods, and repair materials

Purchase replacement supplies and equipment as needed

Make periodic trips to vendors for supplies and equipment

Maintain facility contracts and records

Attend staff meetings and participate in the Safety Committee

Maintain organized storage areas including attic, basement, and supply rooms

Assist with event preparation or facility needs during special events

May be required to work occasional weekends or respond during emergencies

Work Environment

This job operates in both an inside living with assistance environment and an outdoor

environment that is subject to all seasonal environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain,

snow, wind, humidity, etc. This role routinely uses various cleaning and maintenance

equipment Cleaning Tools - cleaning solutions, vacuum, floor buffers, mops, buckets, gloves,

etc.

Maintenance Tools - screw drivers, drills, etc.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an

employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, use

hands and fingers to handle, grasp, feel or operate objects or tools, and reach with hands and

arms. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move furniture, utilize

tools, bend, carry, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, or otherwise move objects. This position

involves standing, kneeling and bending most of the time. Specific vision abilities required by

this job includes vision acuity to perform activities within arm's reach and to adjust focus.
