About the Role:
The Science Teacher specializing in Anatomy and Physiology will play a pivotal role in educating and inspiring high school students in the biological sciences. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Education, or a closely related field.
- Valid teaching certification or license for secondary or post-secondary education in the United States.
- Demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy and physiology concepts and laboratory techniques.
- Experience in lesson planning and classroom management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Anatomy, Physiology, Biology, or Education.
- Experience teaching anatomy and physiology at the high school or college level.
- Familiarity with educational technology and virtual lab software.
- Professional development or certification in specialized teaching methods or health sciences education.
- Experience mentoring students or leading extracurricular science activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver detailed lesson plans on anatomy and physiology topics that meet educational standards and student needs.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques, including lectures, laboratory experiments, multimedia presentations, and group discussions to enhance student engagement.
- Assess student performance through quizzes, exams, lab reports, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback to support learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, and communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administration.
- Stay current with developments in the field of anatomy and physiology and incorporate relevant scientific advancements into the curriculum.
