What do STNAs do at SND?

· STNAs enjoy interacting with the sisters while engaging in the activities of daily living.

· Assists with ADLS daily as needed including, bathing/showers, dressing, eating, personal hygiene, transfers, bed mobility, am and pm care, laundry needs.

· Will follow written meal instructions and complete as directed. (this may include baking desserts, cutting vegetables, making soups, gathering and placing ingredients in kitchen etc.).

· Will follow individual Care Plan for proper and current care, equipment uses and diet of each Sister.

· Conduct patient rounds daily, providing care and corrective action as necessary to patients without violating patients' rights and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.

· Assist sisters with various other daily needs as necessary.

What experience or skills do you need to be a STNA?

· STNA certification required for position

· Basic patient care to include grooming, toileting, lifting/repositioning of a patient, and the ability to lift items/equipment with a weight of up to 50 lbs.

· Experience working in a similar capacity in a Senior Living setting is helpful, but not required

· A positive and cheerful disposition and willing to work as a team are a must
