Position Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for building systems and equipment
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Complete general building repairs and maintenance tasks
- Perform light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
- Paint and complete touch-up work throughout the facility
- Assist with landscaping, snow removal, and exterior grounds maintenance
- Support furniture moves, event setup and breakdown, deliveries, and trash removal
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
- Follow all safety procedures and infection prevention protocols
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed
- Collaborate with staff and departments to support community operations
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of five years of maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance
- Experience operating maintenance, landscaping, and groundskeeping equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build positive working relationships with residents, staff, and vendors
- Experience working in healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or faith-based environments
- Appreciation for the mission and values of the Sisters of Mercy
- Familiarity with Catholic traditions and culture
- Full-time position
- Weekend, holiday, and on-call availability may be required based on operational needs
