Facilities Coordinator (Part-Time)
Location: Omaha, NE
Schedule: Part-Time (20–29 hours/week)
Pay Range: $24.00–$32.00/hour

About the Role
The Facilities Coordinator oversees the day-to-day management, maintenance, and improvement of the administrative office building and grounds at 7262 Mercy Rd, Omaha. This part-time role supports building operations, contractor coordination, safety compliance, and sustainability efforts while ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
Facilities Management
- Oversee building and grounds maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
- Serve as primary contact for contractors and vendors; coordinate services and oversee installations and maintenance.
- Liaise with local/state officials on inspections and compliance.
- Prioritize and manage preventive maintenance for systems and equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and determine when replacement is necessary.
- Manage facility-related invoicing, budgeting, and cost-effective purchasing.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain regulatory compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Ensure grounds and building conditions meet safety standards.
- Support safety programs and respond effectively in emergencies.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist Health & Wellness team in coordinating furniture moves after relocations or transitions.
- Coordinate moving services for Sisters as needed.
- File property insurance claims and oversee related repairs.
- Support sustainability initiatives, including recycling programs and resource conservation.
- Oversee maintenance of hospitality vehicles and community fleet cars.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, supplies, and materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of facilities or maintenance experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with staff and external partners.
- Solid computer skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Sound judgment, self-motivation, and demonstrated leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Experience training or guiding others.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or religious organization.
- Understanding or appreciation of the traditions of the Sisters of Mercy and/or Catholic Church.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
- Ability to safely use equipment and tools.
- Clear vision, hearing, and ability to communicate effectively in English.
