URGENT NEED AFTERSCHOOL GENERAL MUSIC TEACHER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion to teach general music for our after school music program. Sistema Utah is partnered with American Preparatory Academy to offer music classes for free to under-resourced students. Patterned after the El Sistema movement that originated in Venezuela, it is our hope to empower our students for social change.
As our general music teacher you will be teaching groups of children in grades 1-6 elements of music while introducing them to the great music compositions. The hours would be M, T, F 3:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and W, Th 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
We offer teacher training opportunities and coaching from some of the best teachers in the valley. Music degree is not required but a plus.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
College music degree and Suzuki Method teacher training is a plus, but not required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
