Job Summary

Job Summary

A classified substitute typically subs as a teacher assisant in the SCOE Special Education classrooms, the State Preschool, or for Siskiyou Early Head Start (SEHS). In order to sub for SEHS, other requirements must be met. To sub as a teacher for SEHS, (classified), one must hold an AA with ECE credits. In addition to applying here, you must also complete mandated training through SCOE, submit a current TB risk assessment, and complete the necessary paperwork. Each substitute position may differ in responsibilities but we will likely include assisting the classroom teacher with the instruction, care and supervision of students. The classified substitute performs a variety of general classroom assistance duties, and does related work as required.
