What We’re Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or GED. College coursework in a related field is preferred.
• Certifications: BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience: No experience necessary – we’re excited to provide on-the-job training!
• Skills/Competencies:
• Strong teamwork abilities and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow through feedback and professional development.
• Basic computer skills are a plus.
• Available 8am to 4pm (flexible hours, but need to work at least 4 hours per day), some weekends (at least 1 Saturday per month)
  

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in providing patient care and support during therapy sessions.
• Utilize medical terminology and ICD coding to document patient information accurately.
• Ensure a clean and organized environment for therapy activities.
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing patient needs and concerns.
• Maintain computer records and assist in scheduling appointments as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes.
  
  

Physical & Mental Demands

This role involves physical tasks such as assisting with patient transfers and supporting therapists during treatments. You’ll need to:

• Help maneuver patients of various sizes and functional abilities.
• Observe patient conditions and provide appropriate support.
• Communicate effectively with a variety of patients, families, and team members.
• Maintain focus and attention to detail even with frequent interruptions.
• Be comfortable standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods and assist with physical tasks in various settings.
