Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
- Support culinary staff with meal assembly and basic cooking tasks, following food safety standards
- Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Prepare orders for delivery by packaging meals securely and accurately
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport orders to customers promptly and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time while providing friendly customer service during drop-offs
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required
- Background in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry is highly advantageous
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices is beneficial
- Strong knife skills and experience in meal preparation or catering are a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for delivery responsibilities
- Experience with food handling, serving, or kitchen operations will help you excel in this role
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in both kitchen and delivery tasks
