Job Summary: Logistics lead position is responsible for managing internal material control, logistics and shipping processes. Also leads receiving and verifying incoming material.
Core Responsibilities:
- Management of workforce to meet or exceed production standards. Assigns work and issues disciplinary actions to hourly employees. Identifies training needs through regular performance appraisals.
- Maintains a schedule of inbound and outbound production material.
- Organizes deliveries and shipments of material.
- Arranges for incoming material unload and storage.
- Gathers appropriate incoming raw material paperwork and receives in system.
- Asssures all other incoming freight is received into system and has required paperwork.
- Receive and verify incoming raw material or products against invoices, PO’s or other records into SAP system.

- Route items to various departments when received
- Perform regular material warehouse audits to ensure that material is undamaged and maintained neatly throughout the warehouse.
- Responsible planning, executing and reconciling physical inventory. Monitors and ensures all warehouse activities such as goods in and out; storing and shipping are done on a timely basis with minimal errors.
- Monitors and reviews working practices to maximize performance and productivity and ensures that all procedures and working practices adhere to company standards.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Knowledge of SAP and Excel5 years experience in the Warehouse or Logistics function or related experience and/or training; required.
- 5 years experience in the Warehouse or Logistics function or related experience and/or training; required.
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience, preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to motivate, train and coach employees to encourage optimum performance and engagement.
- Good planning and priority setting skills.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
