How you’ll make an impact:
We’re seeking a Vice President of Marketing Operations to lead and transform the operational strategy, governance, and execution for SiriusXM’s 1:1 marketing across all direct-response channels: Email, SMS, Push Notifications, Direct Mail, In-App Messaging, In-Car, and Outbound Telemarketing.
This leader will drive world-class marketing operations, optimize campaign performance, ensure compliance, and unlock personalization at scale. You'll be accountable for advancing marketing technology capabilities, enabling cross-channel orchestration, and building an operational foundation that scales with business growth. This is a high-impact leadership role with deep integration across Marketing, Data, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Customer Experience teams.
What you’ll do:
Strategic Leadership
Set and execute the operational strategy for all direct marketing channels — ensuring best-in-class scalability, automation, and campaign quality.
Align operations with SiriusXM’s personalization, lifecycle marketing, and customer engagement strategies across the entire trialer and subscriber journey.
Lead the evolution of omni-channel campaign orchestration to drive incremental growth, engagement, and retention.
Cross-Channel Marketing Execution
Own the delivery and optimization of campaigns across all direct response channels: Email, SMS, Push, Direct Mail, In-App, In-Car Messaging, and Outbound Telemarketing.
Develop frameworks and toolkits that enable rapid execution, testing, and the ability for performance tracking at scale.
Build workflows that ensure seamless integration across channels, consistent customer experiences, and efficient execution.
Operational Excellence & Process Innovation
Identify and deploy process enhancements to improve speed-to-market, accuracy, and cost-efficiency across campaign workflows.
Implement campaign QA, SLA, and monitoring systems to ensure delivery accuracy and system uptime.
Own a culture of continuous improvement through root cause analysis, workflow automation, and governance standardization.
Drive and collaborated with cross-functional teams to accelerate data processing and transition from batch-based campaigns to real-time, behavior-driven triggers.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
Lead, grow, and inspire a high-performing team of channel operations specialists, campaign managers, and platform administrators.
Foster a team culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Establish performance KPIs and career development plans to grow future leaders.
Technology & MarTech Ownership
Serve as senior leader stakeholder for the company’s marketing automation platforms (e.g., Adobe, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and others).
Partner with Product, Data, and Engineering to enhance platform functionality, data integrations, speed of data, and audience segmentation capabilities.
Lead the evaluation and adoption of new tools that increase campaign effectiveness, automation, and personalization.
Platform Migration Leadership
Own end-to-end leadership of SiriusXM’s strategic migration from Adobe Campaign to Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
Define and execute a multi-phase migration plan, including platform architecture, data migration, campaign transition, testing, and team enablement.
Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure business continuity during migration while enhancing long-term scalability.
Lead change management efforts, including internal communications, training, and documentation to support operational readiness.
Ensure seamless transition of campaign logic, automation flows, segmentation strategies, and compliance mechanisms from Adobe to SFMC.
Governance, Privacy & Compliance
Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, CPRA/CCPA, FDCPA, and other global standards.
Maintain and evolve policies, audits, and risk frameworks to protect customer data and ensure trust.
Partner with Legal and Privacy to implement scalable solutions for campaign auditing, consent management, and consumer preferences.
Vendor & Budget Management
Own and optimize the marketing operations budget, ensuring ROI and cost efficiency.
Lead contract negotiations, service level oversight, and performance management for all MarTech and service vendors.
Conduct periodic audits of platforms and services (e.g., security, privacy, performance) and maintain documentation to support internal governance.
What you’ll need:
15 years of experience in marketing operations, digital campaign execution, or MarTech leadership — including direct oversight of Email, SMS, Push, and multi-channel marketing platforms. This includes a skillset in Automation, with a heavy emphasis on Mar/Tech with proven experience in navigating systems and architecture evolution.
7 years of people leadership, with a track record of building, coaching, and scaling high-performing teams.
Hands-on experience leading platform migrations, preferably from Adobe Campaign to Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a similar enterprise-scale project.
Deep knowledge of enterprise marketing platforms such as SFMC, Adobe Campaign, and Braze.
Prior experience in a subscription business and familiarity with customer lifecycle and retention marketing.
Expertise in data-driven campaign management, cross-channel orchestration, and performance optimization.
Proven success in developing and scaling compliance and governance frameworks across high-volume marketing operations.
Strong fluency in privacy laws and regulatory requirements related to marketing (CAN-SPAM, TCPA, CCPA/CPRA, FDCPA).
Strong project management and vendor management capabilities, including contract negotiation and budget accountability.
Comfortable operating in matrixed organizations and influencing cross-functional stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including executive leadership.
A test-and-learn mindset and a passion for operational excellence and marketing innovation.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $174,000 to $232,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
