Mechanic Certification Exam Staff – Test Proctor Lehi, UT (travel to Payson, UT as needed) | Contract | In-Person Pay: $200/event | Includes paid remote training
About the Role As an ASE Exam Proctor, you'll support the on-site delivery of mechanic certification testing events. Working under the direction of the on-site Supervisor, you are responsible for monitoring candidates, collecting scorecards, and gathering candidate signatures — ensuring a secure, professional, and compliant testing environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor candidates throughout the exam to ensure testing integrity
- Collect scorecards and candidate signatures upon exam completion
- Assist with maintaining a quiet, organized, and secure testing environment
- Follow all ASE and Prometric testing procedures as directed by the Supervisor
- Support candidate check-in and verify roster as needed
- Escalate any issues or irregularities to the on-site Supervisor immediately
Qualifications
- Reliable and punctual — must arrive on time or early
- Professional demeanor when interacting with candidates, staff, and venue partners
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and stay attentive throughout the event
- Calm and composed when issues arise
- Comfortable standing, moving around the venue, and remaining on-site for the full test day (typically 7am–5pm)
- Available to travel to our Payson, UT sister location when needed
Schedule
- Test Day only: up to 9 hours (typically 7am–5pm)
Compensation $200 | Includes paid remote training
