Controls Technician

Sirius Staffing is seeking a skilled Controls Technician for a direct hire position in Mobile, AL. The Controls Tech must be proficient in Honeywell or Schneider Electric control systems, with the ability to program and develop control logic from scratch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both IT and mechanical systems, with certification or demonstrable experience in Tridium N4 or Schneider EcoStruxure (EBO).

What You’ll Do:

• Program and develop original control logic for HVAC, lighting, and metering systems—don’t just tweak templates, build solutions from scratch.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Honeywell and Schneider Electric control systems in commercial facilities.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network-based control systems seamlessly.
• Perform diagnostic checks and repairs on mechanical systems to ensure proper interaction with control systems.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and training to customers and team members.
• Document all processes, including custom program logic, troubleshooting steps, and system performance.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency repairs and support.

What You Need:

• High School diploma or equivalency (A.S. in Engineering Technology preferred).
• 3 years of hands-on experience with Honeywell, Schneider Electric, or Tridium N4 systems.
• Proven ability to program and develop control logic from scratch.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems in building automation.
• IT/networking proficiency for integration with building control systems.
• Tridium N4 certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and independence.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Supervisory or lead technician experience.
• Additional certifications in building automation or energy management.
