Key Responsibilities
- Assess, analyze, and document clinical workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary care settings.
- Translate clinical and operational requirements into technical specifications for data extraction, reporting, and analytics solutions.
- Design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts within Cerner Millennium environments.
- Perform complex data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and transformation activities from Cerner Millennium Oracle schemas.
- Support enterprise-wide EHR migration, reporting modernization, and legacy system retirement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain structured data feeds, flat-file extracts, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CCL performance issues and downstream integration or reporting challenges.
- Collaborate with clinical informatics teams, business stakeholders, and technical delivery teams to ensure accurate implementation of clinical workflows and reporting requirements.
- Communicate technical constraints, data dependencies, and data quality limitations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Execute and tune CCL scripts, manage batch jobs, and support both production and non-production environments in compliance with organizational standards.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cerner Millennium environments.
- Extensive experience developing and optimizing Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts.
- Strong Oracle SQL and healthcare data extraction experience.
- Experience supporting EHR data migration and legacy system retirement initiatives.
- Knowledge of healthcare clinical workflows, reporting, and analytics processes.
- Experience with ETL development, flat-file generation, and structured data feeds.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and technical teams.
