Power the Future of AI & Why This Role Matters
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled DevOps Engineer/Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen our cloud, automation, and deployment ecosystem across our global SaaS platform. This role is critical to ensuring reliability, scalability, performance, and security across our environments.
You will shape CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, monitoring frameworks, and large-scale deployments across cloud-native and containerized architectures that support Sirion’s AI-led product ecosystem.
This position is in-office and open in the following areas: Lehi UT, Austin TX, Denver CO, Chicago IL, Raleigh–Durham NC.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Build, automate, and optimize deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
- Lead scalable automation initiatives, including infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, observability, and performance engineering.
- Design and support containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Enhance deployment architecture, reliability, and operational efficiency through best-in-class DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and IT teams to ensure smooth deployments and timely issue resolution.
- Establish governance for deployment specifications, documentation, and environment configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex deployment issues and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes.
- Support backend systems, Java deployments, and database integrations including MySQL and Oracle.
- Strengthen monitoring, alerting, and performance analytics using tools such as Prometheus, Nagios, and Hyperic.
Skills & Experience You Bring to the Table
Core Experience
- 5 years of DevOps experience in a cloud-native SaaS environment.
- Ability to work rotational shifts including morning, general, and night schedules.
- Exposure to FinOps practices for cloud cost optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Proficiencies
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Linux administration expertise (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS).
- Strong experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms and infrastructure management.
Containers & Orchestration
- Expertise in container orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
CI/CD & Automation
- Hands-on automation experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Terraform.
Messaging & Streaming
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka and Pulsar.
Version Control
- Strong knowledge of version control tools including GitLab, GitHub, SVN, and Bitbucket.
Monitoring & Observability
- Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Hyperic, Nagios, Cacti, Munin, and Ganglia Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch APM, PingDom & Nagios.
Application & Runtime Support
- Experience with Java deployments, Apache Tomcat, and HTTP Server
Scripting & Automation
- Strong scripting skills using Python, Shell, Groovy, and PowerShell.
MLOps
- MLOps experience including model deployment, lifecycle management, pipeline automation, and monitoring.
Database integration & understanding of DBs
- MongoDB, Qdrant, PostGress
