Day 1 onsite QA Automation Engineer at Phoenix, AZ with SMBC Bank
SUMMARY:
The QA Automation Engineer for Credit and Fraud Risk Technology ensures the quality of software applications through comprehensive testing strategies and automation across risk infrastructure. As part of the Credit & Fraud Risk Technology group, this role involves contributing to the testing strategy, framework, and execution, including in-sprint, SIT, and UAT testing efforts for the digital bank s mission-critical decisioning infrastructure.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies.
- Write and execute test cases for various applications.
- Create and maintain API automation scripts.
- Conduct system performance tests to ensure reliability, capacity, and scalability.
- Implement database automation testing.
- Test complex systems with multiple integration points.
- Perform migration testing to ensure seamless transitions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in designing, planning, and executing tests for APIs and web services.
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on automation.
- Strong technical skills in Python, Java, and JavaScript.
- Experience with GitLab, CI tools like Jenkins, and test management tools like JIRA.
- Experience in testing complex systems with multiple integration points.
- Experience in migration testing.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in the banking industry preferred
