Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the progressive care unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing complex medical conditions such as acute pain and infectious diseases.
- Perform detailed patient assessments, interpret diagnostic evaluations, and develop individualized care plans aligned with best practices and hospital protocols.
- Utilize advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, therapists, and case managers—to coordinate treatment plans and discharge planning efforts.
- Manage airway support devices such as ventilators, perform IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, and other invasive procedures with aseptic technique.
