What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Cook position at Siren Oyster Bar & Restaurant?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare ingredients for recipes prior to service with team
- Keep kitchen clean and organized with team
- Fulfill sanitation codes/standards and Department of Health regulations, ensuring team follows as well
- Work closely and collaboratively with the front of house team
- Accommodate the needs of the guests such as allergy and/or dietary restrictions and modifications
- Prepare the existing menu and ideate / execute seasonal or daily specials
- Experience with Toast POS system to follow orders received
- Ability to pace out food and manage kitchen staff when guest count is low or high
- Communicate with manager for kitchen needs / re stocks
- Executes family meal daily prior to service with team
- Great management, leads by example and delegates efficiently
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Classic cooking techniques and recipe knowledge
- Health Department certification preferred
- Great communicate with team
- Fluent in spanish and english
- Calm demeanor in kitchen give semi-open space concept
Salary : $23 - $25
