Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Department: Engineering
Reports to: Chief Engineer / Director of Engineering
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician at Sirata Beach Resort – Tapestry Collection by Hilton is responsible for maintaining the overall condition and functionality of the property through general repairs and preventative maintenance. This role supports daily operations by ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are safe, well-maintained, and aligned with Hilton brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, drywall patching, and painting
Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and work orders to ensure a positive guest experience
Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to identify and resolve issues proactively
Complete preventative maintenance tasks as assigned by the Engineering leadership team
Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues such as outlets, lighting fixtures, and switches
Perform basic plumbing repairs including unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures
Repair and patch drywall, followed by painting and finishing to maintain room quality standards
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition
Follow all safety procedures and comply with OSHA and company safety standards
Collaborate with other departments to support overall hotel operations and guest satisfaction
Assist with special projects, renovations, and emergency situations as needed
Accurately document completed work orders and maintenance logs
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance experience in a hotel or similar environment preferred
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, drywall repair, and painting required
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Ability to lift, push, and pull moderate to heavy objects
Must be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
