Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Banquet Houseman to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth setup, maintenance, and cleanup of banquet events, contributing to an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in the food industry, with experience in catering, food service, or hospitality environments. A strong focus on guest relations, food safety, and teamwork is vital for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquet event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and linens according to event specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events
- Bussing tables and clearing dishes efficiently to ensure a clean dining environment
- Support food service staff with food handling, serving, and replenishing supplies as needed
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and service
- Help with light food preparation tasks when required, following proper safety protocols
- Provide excellent guest services by responding promptly to guest needs and inquiries during events
- Assist with catering functions by transporting supplies and equipment to event locations
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or hospitality is preferred; culinary or restaurant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Strong guest service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest relations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Physical stamina to lift, move, and set up equipment and furniture as needed
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required for events
- Prior banquet or catering experience is highly desirable; hotel or coffee shop experience is a plus
Pay: $ $25.19 per hour
