Job Summary
- Seeking a hands-on Senior Java Technical Lead with 8 years of experience in Java backend development and payment processing platforms.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, Kafka/IBM MQ, and cloud-native applications.
- Experience developing scalable, high-performance banking and payment solutions is required.
Mandatory Payments Domain Experience
- Hands-on experience in banking, payments, or financial transaction processing.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following:
- Wire Payments, RTP, or Fedwire
- SWIFT and ISO 20022
- Treasury or cross-border payments
- Payment hubs or high-value transaction processing
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Java microservices and payment processing applications.
- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and event-driven solutions.
- Support payment modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Troubleshoot production issues, support deployments, and improve application performance.
- Ensure code quality, scalability, security, and reliability of backend applications.
Required Skills
- 8 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 11/17/21, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, and event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of scalable enterprise application development and production support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-native application development and payment modernization.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
