Payroll Admin - St. Michael, MN

Sir Lines-A-Lot provides traffic control and pavement markings on roads and parking lot. This position will be in person at our St. Michael, MN office with the ability to work out of our Edina office as needed.

This position reports to the Payroll Lead and is primarily responsible for certified payroll processing and reporting, and supporting payroll as needed. It requires generating and validating certified payroll reports and assisting with payroll timecard processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various clerical and administrative functions.
• Learn all methods of submitting certified payroll reports for all states (Aashtoware, LCP Tracker, Elations, and MNDOT form via email), submit payroll reports weekly for the previous week's work
• Enter prevailing wage schedules into the COINS system and identify the correct rate for each prevailing wage job
• Determine calculation of PW-COP employer rate, updating as employee's benefit elections change, and coordinate with the corporate office
• Maintain certified payroll tracking spreadsheet so the status of each report is known at any time
• Maintain all correspondence with employees, prime contractors and government contacts regarding payroll and certified payroll reports
• Assist with downloading and processing of timecard records
• Assist with the timely completion of weekly payroll for approximately 400 employees
• Ensure copies of all payroll reports and backup for payroll are available and accurate
• Maintain the employee benefit tracking spreadsheet
• Monitor the payroll email and respond to/resolve each item in a timely manner
• Resolve any discrepancies on payroll or certified payroll reports
• Support HR with duties assigned
• Learn necessary functions to provide backup for Payroll
• Other duties as assigned by management to support the business

Experience/Requirements:

• 1 years of experience in office setting
• 1 years of experience in payroll preferred
• 1 years of experience with certified payroll reporting preferred
• High School education or equivalent
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
• Previous position in a highway or construction office preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Reliable transportation
• Regular attendance in the office required
