The Role
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing field team. You will be responsible for operating specialized earth-moving equipment to prepare project sites for infrastructure and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Operation: Adeptly operate heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, haul trucks, backhoes, and wheel loaders.
- GPS Technology: Utilize GPS-equipped dozers and excavators to achieve precise grades and site specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance; report defects to the foreman immediately.
- Safety: Adhere strictly to company and OSHA safety standards.
- Collaboration: Proactively communicate with the foreman and team to ensure project efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience with GPS technology in earth-moving applications.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work on uneven terrain, and pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30 is a plus.
