Job Overview
Sip & Cake Create Nashville is looking for friendly, energetic, dependable Dessert & Ice Cream Team Members to join our fun and creative dessert shop!
We are more than just an ice cream shop. We offer a variety of sweet treats including ice cream, funnel cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, and other desserts, along with our unique cake-decorating experiences and parties.
As a Team Member, you will help create a fun experience for our customers while preparing and serving desserts, assisting guests, keeping the shop clean and organized, and helping with our cake-decorating activities.
Please note: Team Members will not be responsible for baking cakes or desserts from scratch. Our desserts are prepared using established products and procedures, with the focus being on preparing, finishing, serving, and presenting desserts to our customers.
Previous food-service experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve ice cream, funnel cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, and other desserts
- Scoop and serve ice cream while creating attractive dessert presentations
- Prepare and finish dessert items according to our established procedures
- Take customer orders and operate the POS/register
- Provide friendly and welcoming customer service
- Assist customers if needed during cake-decorating sessions, parties, and other experiences
- Help customers select desserts and answer questions about our menu
- Keep the counter, kitchen, dining area, and workstations clean and organized
- Wash dishes and utensils as needed
- Restock ingredients, supplies, and merchandise
- Follow all applicable Metro Nashville health department, food safety, sanitation, and food-handling requirements
- Maintain proper hygiene and safe food-handling practices at all times
- Keep the workspace clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Work as a team and help wherever needed during busy periods
- Work independently and responsibly when a manager or supervisor is not immediately present

Schedule
We are hiring part-time team members with flexible availability throughout the week. Shifts may be available during:
● Morning and daytime hours
● After-school hours
● Weekdays
● Weekends
● Holidays
● Occasional special events and parties
Our shop will operate during daytime hours, generally around 11:00AM through early evening, with scheduling based on business needs and availability.
