We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Barista to join our vibrant café team. Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using Clover POS or Square POS systems
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following established recipes and standards
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing their needs promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, ensuring quality standards are met
- Manage time effectively to serve customers efficiently during busy periods
- Upsell products to increase sales while maintaining a positive customer experience
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge preferred
- Experience with POS systems such as Clover POS or Square POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using retail math skills
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling, sales calculations, and register operations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in food service or retail math is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a café or food industry setting
