Sip & Forage is a food cart pod in downtown Portland, and we're looking for a hands-on Maintenance & Grounds Associate to keep the whole space clean, safe, and running smoothly. You're not tied to any one cart — you're the person every vendor and guest counts on to keep the shared spaces (seating, walkways, trash, restrooms, lighting) in good shape.
If you like variety, take pride in a clean space, and notice a wobbly table or an overflowing bin without needing a checklist, this is for you.
What you'll do
- Keep common areas clean — empty trash/recycling, wipe down shared tables and benches, sweep and hose down walkways and patio areas
- Restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap)
- Basic plant care and light landscaping (weeding, tidying planters)
- Open/close shared spaces — gates, string lights, signage
- Be a friendly face for vendors and guests with questions about the space
What we're looking for
- Experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, janitorial, or general labor
- Comfortable with physical, outdoor work in all weather — able to lift 40–50 lbs
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Self-starter energy — you notice what needs doing without being told
Schedule: Full-time, open availability preferred. Some early mornings (pre-open) and/or evenings (post-close) depending on shift assignment.
Nice to have: food/hospitality experience, basic electrical or plumbing know-how, landscaping experience.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
