Siouxland Community Health Center has an opening for:
Medical Records Data & Referral Clerk
1-Full-time
Successful candidate must have solid experience & advanced knowledge of:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Strong alphabetical and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Successful candidate must be able to perform primary functions of position:
- Answer all incoming calls into the medical records department
- Fax provider orders to appropriate agencies daily, immediately upon receipt
- Scan and index documents into the EMR to ensure documents are indexed within 72 hours after scanned to enhance access to records for the clinical staff
- Monitor “team follow up referral” desktop daily to remove completed referrals and send provider a flag for all incomplete referrals
- Mail or fax all releases for records requested from outside agencies within 1 week of receipt
- These functions are not all inclusive
