Abra Auto Body & Glass is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Paint Prep Technician for our fast-paced, state-of-the-art facility.
The Paint Prep Technician ensures that all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed, and all prior paint-related disassembly has been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to the body technician.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Paint Prepper is tasked with quality preparation for all assigned vehicles prior to the paint, reassembly, and final finish stages.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Paint Prepper is tasked with quality preparation for all assigned vehicles prior to the paint, reassembly, and final finish stages.
- Reviews estimates and understands scope of repair
- Inspects body repairs to ensure standards are met
- Tapes surface areas and parts with precision to minimize tapelines and overspray
- Applies masking paper as necessary
- Parts removal and reassembly as required
- Performs final surface cleaning and preparation for proper adhesion
- May block and sand repair areas as needed
- Prime, edge, jam replacement parts as requested
- Learns to mix paint as needed
