Requirements
EDUCATION LEVEL:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Family Services, Education, Rehabilitation, Special Education, or a related field.
Experience Desired
A minimum of two years of successful experience working in related field. Prefer job development experience.
Physical Requirements
Constant hearing, mind-eye and hand-eye coordination, intermittent speaking, standing, walking, writing, bending, and stooping. Frequent keyboarding and repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
Other Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Skills in human relations and development of student or client programs. Computer proficiency. Knowledge of community resources available.

Employment Contract - 9 Month - Level I, starting at $53,654.40

HOURS & FTE
Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break

Essential Functions & Duties
- Serves as a Liaison between High Schools and Transition Programs (Community Campus & Project SEARCH).
- Provides placement, supervision, and embedded job coaching/direct instruction of students with disabilities at work sites.
- Works with employers to identify and maintain employment-training sites through the community.
- Coordinates and oversees Project Skills or job coaching in the community for the transition Community Facilitators or high school Community ESPs.
- Collaborates with the other Employment Consultants to provide consistent support to all high schools and Transition Programs.
- Serves as a liaison between the SFSD and Vocational Rehabilitation and coordinates Project Skills placements in the community.
- Develops transition resources through contacting community agencies and serves as a resource to IEP Committees and teachers by assisting with planning for students so that individual transition goals are achieved.
- Selects, develops, and administers vocational assessments.
- Completes assessments and reports necessary to comply with requirements in IEP goals and Project Skills.
- General duties include following district policies, maintaining confidentiality of students and families, serving on district committees, and participating in training activities provided by the district.
- Transport students as needed to job sites, adult service agency meetings, or community access activities.
- Maintains the confidentiality of students and their families.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
