Facilities Maintenance Technician

Sioux Falls Kitchen & Bath, a leader in custom cabinet manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. This full-time, Monday through Friday day-shift position offers competitive compensation and benefits package. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
• Perform tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Track and maintain paper and electronic records on all maintenance and repairs to machines and facility
• Execute regulation lock out/tag out procedures when working on production equipment

Education Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• An AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance preferred

Work Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance job preferred
• 1-3 years of experience being a safety leader in a manufacturing setting preferred
• Demonstrated mechanical maintenance and repair ability on electromechanical systems
• Experience following repair and maintenance documentation and blue prints/schematics is a plus
• Experience with any of the following is preferred: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic systems and/or hydraulic systems

Essential functions – Physical & Mental Requirements

• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day; Must frequently lift/move items over 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with plant equipment
• Work in this environment requires the use of safety glasses and work boots

Pay: $22.00 - $37.00 per hour
