POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a dedicated and supportive K-5 After School Program Site Assistants at JFK, Discovery, Oscar Howe, Pettigrew, and Hayward Elementary School's for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. The Site Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, structured, and engaging environment for students. This individual will assist with behavior management, active supervision, and classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Site Coordinator in implementing daily lessons and activities.
  
  

Assist with behavior management, using positive reinforcement and redirection strategies.Ensure the safety and supervision of all children at all times.

• Help facilitate transitions between activities, ensuring the schedule runs smoothly..
  
  

Encourage participation and foster a positive, inclusive environment for all students.Help with classroom organization, setup, and cleanup to maintain a structured learning space.Communicate effectively with staff members to ensure smooth program operations.Model professionalism and enthusiasm, setting a positive example for students.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to assist in managing student behaviors and reinforcing positive expectations.
• Comfortable supporting field trip activities and ensuring child safety.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to step in where needed.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  
  

Schedule & Compensation

• Works 2:00pm-6:00pm, Monday-Friday
  
  

Starting at $14 for qualified candidatesPart-time
