Position Overview

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. In addition to performing counts, analyst are expected to audit processes and ensure the flow of inventory is facilitated in the most efficient an accurate way possible.

Essential Job Functions

• Cycle count raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials daily. Some of these counts might be performed at satellite facilities
• Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches to locate misclassified inventory
• Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weigh and mark the product, displaying the remaining product left
• Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervision
• Work interdepartmentally with the production floor, customer service, and sales staff to answer questions about the status of inventory
• Investigate inventory variances with the utilization of reports to uncover the root cause of discrepancies
• Monitor flow of finished goods from the production floor to the warehouse, as well as the inbound flow of component inventory to the production floor
• Report process failures to the Inventory Control Manager
• Perform daily audits of warehouse personnel to ensure inventory is accurately moved throughout the operation
• Assist the Quality Control department with research into potential quality issues
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed and maintain a neat, clean, and orderly warehouse appearance
• Ability to work extended hours/overtime as needed, as well as some Saturdays
• Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, and guidelines; ensure proper and full-time use of PPE and conform to all quality and safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Non-Essential Job Functions

• Assist in transfers to and from the production area
• Break down boxes and pallets as necessary

• Organized thought process with high attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate results, effective prioritization to meet scheduled deadlines, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment as required
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proven time management skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues and work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
• Excellent work ethic; ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
• Professional attitude and the ability to represent the company with integrity
• Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math
• Comfortable using a PC with computer software packages, including Microsoft Office
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about the facility; occasionally stoops, kneels, and carries
• Regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision, and close focus
• Regularly operates a computer, computer accessories, and phone equipment
