Responsibilities
- Responsible for procedures related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assemble of equipment, supplies and instruments for use in medical and surgical interventions
- HS diploma or equivalent required
- One year experience in central sterilization or hospital related field that would provide a background in medical terminology, sterile technique, or applied medical supplies and equipment preferred
- Possess good communication skills and contribute to completing the required work of the team
- Possess good decision-making skills, organizational skills, and able to adapt to change and flexibility
- Detail oriented
- 36 hours per pay period
- Shifts primarily on Mondays & Tuesdays
- 6:30am start time (shift length can vary 8-12 hours)
- Ideal candidate would have availability in addition to work in times of planned PTO coverage and last minute needs
- 1 weekend call per 6 weeks when fully staffed
- On-call holiday rotation 1-2 per year
- The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
