Summary The Floor Finisher is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned areas including performing routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis using all floor and buffing machines. General Hours of Work Monday through Friday (evening, weekend, call rotation as needed) Education and/or Experience High School diploma or GED preferred. Previous cleaning experience in healthcare setting preferred. Certificate, Licenses, Registrations N/A Essential Functions Assembles materials and supplies in janitorial room. Cleans assigned areas by dusting and mopping floors with special cleaning solutions and disinfectant to prevent the spread of disease. Uses treated cloths on dust broom, damp mop and vacuum to clean hallways, dining room floor and other areas as needed. Buffs all hallways, patient rooms and other floors as needed, effectively using all floor and buffing machinery. Strips floors and wax as needed. Cleans carpets in assigned areas per schedule using appropriate chemicals and all floor machinery. Cross trains to other department responsibilities as needed.
