Responsibilities
- Assists patients in getting ready/changing for their procedure
- Provides assistance to Technicians with treatment procedures
- Assist and start IVs as directed
- Helps with patient flow in/out of room
- Cleans patient care areas and prepares rooms before and after patients
- Maintains a clean, organized, and therapeutic patient environment at all times
- Answers phone and directs calls as appropriate
- Maintains patient confidentiality, including protection of the medical record, order communication data and all other verbal and written patient information
- Assists with the transfer process of patients within the hospital and to external facilities
- Participates in departmental cleaning activities as assigned
- Follows appropriate cleaning standards including sanitation standards
- Provides for appropriate transporting and re-stocking of supplies and other items related to department and patient care needs
- Medical certification required: EMT or equivalent to have the knowledge and skill to start IVs
- Minimum 2 years healthcare experience
- BLS required or willing to obtain upon hire - Inhouse education available
- Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
- 60 hr per pay period
- 6 hr day shifts; Mon-Thurs 9a-3:30p, Fri 10:30a-4p
- The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
