What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Rehab Specialist position at Sioux Center Chiropractic?
About Sioux Center Chiropractic Wellness Clinic
Sioux Center Chiropractic Wellness Clinic is one of the most innovative chiropractic and rehabilitation practices in Northwest Iowa. We go well beyond traditional chiropractic care — combining hands-on adjustments, active rehabilitation, laser therapy, shockwave therapy, and spinal decompression to help patients move better, feel better, and get back to the life they want. Our team is experienced, highly trained, and genuinely passionate about delivering real outcomes for real people.
If you're studying exercise science, kinesiology, athletic training, physical therapy, or a related health field — or you've recently graduated and want hands-on clinical experience that actually matters — this is the place.
The Role
We're looking for a motivated part-time Rehab Specialist to join our clinical team. This is a hands-on position working directly with patients under the supervision of our chiropractic physicians. You'll guide patients through individualized rehabilitation programs, assist with advanced therapeutic modalities, and play a real role in patient outcomes from day one.
This is not a shadowing position and it's not a desk job. You will be on the floor, working with patients, learning from experienced providers, and building clinical skills you simply cannot get from a classroom alone.
What You'll Do
- Guide patients through individualized rehabilitation and corrective exercise programs
- Assist providers with patient intake, movement evaluations, and care plan execution
- Operate therapeutic equipment, including laser therapy, shockwave therapy, and spinal decompression after training
- Review and demonstrate home exercise programs with patients
- Monitor patient progress and communicate findings with the clinical team
- Support clinic flow — rooming patients, completing subjective intake, and adapting to patient volume
- Assist with front desk responsibilities including check-in, scheduling, and patient financial conversations as needed
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and fully operational rehab space
Schedule
Afternoon availability is the primary need for this role — typically between noon and 5:00 PM. Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons are the most critical shifts. Morning availability is a bonus but afternoons are non-negotiable. Approximately 10-15 hours per week with room to grow over the summer as our team transitions.
What We're Looking For
- Current student or recent graduate in exercise science, kinesiology, athletic training, physical therapy, or a related health field
- Genuine interest in clinical rehabilitation and patient care
- High energy, strong communication skills, and a coachable attitude
- Reliable, professional, and team-first mindset
- Morning availability preferred — our busiest patient hours are before noon
- Lives in or within reasonable commuting distance of Sioux Center, Iowa
Certifications such as CPR, personal training, or chiropractic assistant are a plus but not required — we provide full training and ongoing certification support.
What You Get
- Hands-on clinical training alongside experienced chiropractic physicians
- Exposure to advanced therapeutic modalities you won't find in most part-time roles
- A supportive, high-performing team culture where you are genuinely invested in and developed
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Flexible scheduling built around your school or other commitments
- A clear growth path — as you develop your skills and certifications your role and compensation grow with you
- The opportunity to be part of a practice that is genuinely doing something different in this community
