Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Butcher located in Paso Robles, CA. The Butcher will be responsible for preparing, cutting, and processing various types of meat to meet customer specifications and industry standards. Key responsibilities include inspecting and selecting meat products, maintaining proper sanitation and cleanliness of the work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in butchery, including handling, cutting, and preparing meat products
- Knowledge and experience in working with beef, lamb, swine, and wild game
- Proficiency in meat processing, including trimming, deboning, and portioning
- An understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment and handle physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods
- Experience in a similar role or formal butchery training is a plus
- Commitment to ensuring high-quality products and maintaining efficiency
- USDA experience a plus
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus
