Role Description The Territory Sales Representative is a full-time, off-site role based in Dearborn, MI, responsible for driving sales growth and brand visibility within an assigned geographic area. This role includes managing existing accounts, identifying and onboarding new customers, and building strong, long-term relationships with retailers, distributors, and foodservice partners. The representative will conduct regular field visits, present product portfolios, negotiate pricing and promotional activities, and ensure optimal product placement and availability. Daily tasks involve monitoring market trends and competitor activity, executing trade marketing initiatives, coordinating with internal teams on orders and deliveries, and preparing accurate sales forecasts and reports. The role also requires participation in local events, store tastings, and promotional campaigns to support brand awareness and customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong territory management and field sales skills, including account development, route planning, and pipeline management.
- Proficiency in relationship-building, customer service, and negotiation to manage diverse retail and foodservice accounts.
- Experience in FMCG or food industry sales, preferably with chilled, frozen, or processed meat products.
- Ability to analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and translate insights into actionable sales plans.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different stakeholders.
- Comfort with using CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and digital reporting systems.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
- Proactive, goal-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
