What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026 Summer Associate- Civil Rights position at SINGLETON SCHREIBER LLP?
Singleton Schreiber is a civil trial firm with a focus on personal injury, mass torts/multi-district litigation, civil rights, environmental and fires. Our Civil Rights Summer Associate Program is a 10-week program designed to give summer associates hands-on experience working with our Civil Rights team while gaining valuable, transferable legal skills and a realistic understanding of what it’s like to practice at Singleton Schreiber.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Legal research.
- Screening potential clients.
- Drafting briefs.
- Supporting court-related activities.
The program will be full-time starting in May and will end in August with an opportunity to stay part-time during the fall and spring semesters.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
This opportunity is open to second-year law students with the following qualifications:
- Enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school and having completed their 2L year.
- Law Review or Moot Court, Mock Trial or another oral advocacy preferred.
- Prior legal experience preferred.
- Highly developed communication, writing, leadership, and analytical skills.
SALARY:
$27.00 an hour
