Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive residential interior design concepts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and 3ds Max, ensuring alignment with client visions and project specifications.
- Create detailed construction documentation and building detail drawings that adhere to local building codes and regulations.
- Produce high-quality 3D renderings and visualizations using Adobe Photoshop, Rhino, and other graphic design tools to effectively communicate design ideas to clients.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, coordinating timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining clear communication with clients and contractors.
- Conduct building code analysis and ensure all designs are compliant with relevant standards for safety, accessibility, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with clients during the design process to incorporate their preferences on lighting, color schemes based on color theory principles, and overall aesthetic direction.
- Support renovation and remodeling projects by providing detailed drafting, construction detail documentation, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) integration for seamless project execution.
Experience
- Proven experience in residential interior design projects with a strong portfolio showcasing CAD drafting, 3D modeling for architectural visualization, and graphic presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), 3ds Max, along with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop for rendering and presentation purposes.
- Knowledge of building code compliance, construction detail documentation, and BIM tools to facilitate accurate project planning and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple design projects efficiently from conception through completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction regarding design concepts, project updates, contracts, and lighting or remodeling solutions.
- Experience in construction or renovation environments is highly desirable; familiarity with lighting sales or interior remodeling processes will be considered a plus.
- A background in professional art or design disciplines combined with technical expertise in drafting software ensures precise execution of creative visions.
