Location: Remote (US-friendly time zones preferred)
Type: Full-time
Team: AI / Operations / Enablement
About Single Grain
Single Grain is a tech-enabled marketing services company that helps ambitious companies like Amazon, Airbnb, Uber, and Salesforce scale through a combination of strategy, execution, and technology. We work with fast-growing startups and established brands to drive measurable results across SEO, paid media, content, and conversion.
Our mission is to be the marketing partner that b2b companies never outgrow. We want to build a small, elite team that uses AI to create massive leverage. We believe AI does not replace great people — it replaces mediocre processes. Our goal is to move faster, think more clearly, and compound learning across the organization by deeply integrating AI into how we work every day.
AI is not a side project here. It is foundational to how we build, operate, and win.
⸻
Why This Role Exists
We move fast. We prototype aggressively with AI.
What we do not want is a graveyard of half-finished tools.
At Single Grain, we use AI to build leverage, not demos. Our founder and teams are constantly validating ideas in tools like Cursor, Cloud Code, and LLM-based workflows. Once something works, we need someone who finishes the last mile and helps others do the same.
This role is for someone who:
• Loves turning messy AI prototypes into real, durable systems
• Is obsessed with modern AI tooling
• Gets energy from helping other people ship, not just building solo
If you are the person teammates come to when the AI thing kind of works but is not ready yet, you will feel very at home here.
⸻
What You Will Do
Finish and Ship AI Projects
• Take validated prototypes, often built quickly in tools like Cursor, and turn them into production-ready systems
• Own the last 20 to 30 percent including edge cases, cleanup, integration, deployment, and handoff
• Ship version one quickly, then iterate
Be an AI Force Multiplier
• Proactively work with teams across the company to help them succeed with AI
• Coach teammates on prompting, tool selection, and AI-first workflows
• Help people finish what they have started without doing everything for them
Build Leverage, Not One-Offs
• Create SOPs, Loom walkthroughs, and documentation for anything used more than once
• Contribute reusable prompts, patterns, and workflows
• Share wins and learnings so the whole organization compounds
⸻
Tools You Will Work With
You do not need to know every tool listed, but you should be strong in several and excited to learn the rest:
• Cursor or similar AI coding environments
• LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini
• Automation tools like Zapier, Make.com, Lindy, or equivalents
• Claude Code, APIs, and lightweight infrastructure
• Internal tools, scripts, and integrations
If you have ever said the AI wrote most of this, I just made it actually work, that is a good sign.
⸻
What We Are Looking For
Must-Haves
• A proven history of finishing AI or automation projects
• Clear examples of half-built projects turned into shipped systems
• Strong hands-on technical ability
• Clear communication and a collaborative mindset
• Genuine obsession with AI and staying current
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience coaching or enabling non-technical teammates
• Background in startups, agencies, or fast-moving environments
• Comfort with ambiguity and imperfect inputs
⸻
How We Measure Success
• AI prototypes do not stall, they ship
• Teams move faster because of your work
• Internal tools save real time, measured in hours
• People across the company trust you as the person who gets things over the line
⸻
Our AI Culture
AI is not optional here. It is foundational.
We expect everyone to:
• Use AI daily
• Think in systems
• Share what works
• Document leverage
We care less about credentials and more about what you have actually built and finished.
⸻
How to Apply
Include 'vibing is cool' in the first sentence of your cover letter. Write a cover letter on why you are the best fit for this role with examples.
• Short write-ups explaining what the prototype was, what broke, how you finished it, and the impact it had
• Examples of how you have helped other people ship using AI
⸻
Final Note
This is not a research role.
This is not a prompt engineer role.
This is not a vibes-only role.
This role is for someone who loves the craft of finishing, shipping, and helping others do the same using AI as the leverage layer.
If that is you, we want to talk.
