What are the responsibilities and job description for the Babysitter / Nanny Part-Time position at Single Family?
I'm searching for a part-time in-home nanny (12-20 hours/wk) beginning asap for my 3 year old and 6 month old sons. This role would be working with our nanny who's with us full-time and has been with us for the past 3 years.
For summer hours beginning asap through August, we're ideally looking for someone from 9am - 1pm Monday through Friday. Starting in September my older Son will be going to school then we will only need help Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am - 1pm.
We live with a loving 8 year old goldendoodle.
This role requires travel to our home, so a valid mode of transportation is mandatory.
Please also attach a copy of your nanny resume and have a list of nanny references prepared.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for my sons in a safe and stimulating environment.
- Engage in enrichment activities, such as reading, singing, and outdoor play.
- Prepare and serve bottles and snacks.
- Promote learning and development. We have a lot of toys/books to play with!
- Maintain a clean and organized space, including tidying up toys and cleaning up after meals.
- Follow established routines and schedules to ensure consistency.
- Communicate effectively with myself regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
Requirements:
- Ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents.
- Reliable transportation to commute to the family's location.
- Basic first aid skills, CPR and knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to manage routine/schedules.
- Punctual! We need an individual who will show up on time each and every day.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience 3 years caring for infant and newborn children.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities for an infant.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
