Position SummarySinging Water Vineyards is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead the daily operations of our commercial kitchen. This role will oversee kitchen staff, menu planning and development, food cost management, scheduling, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is both a skilled culinary professional and an organized leader who thrives in a collaborative, high-quality hospitality environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesKitchen Leadership & Staff Management- Hire, train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff
- Establish clear kitchen procedures and expectations
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Lead by example with professionalism, consistency, and culinary excellence
- Develop and refresh seasonal menus aligned with the vineyard experience
- Ensure high-quality execution of all dishes and offerings
- Maintain consistency in presentation, flavor, and portioning
- Collaborate with management on special events, tastings, and catering menus
- Create weekly staff schedules based on kitchen and event needs
- Ensure adequate staffing and efficient workflow during peak periods

- Oversee proper storage, labeling, and kitchen equipment upkeep
- Proven experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager in a commercial kitchen
- Strong leadership and staff development skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and kitchen operations
- Experience with menu development and cost control
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and events as needed
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in winery, hospitality, event, or farm-to-table environments
