Warehouse Associate

Summers Rubber, a division of Singer Industrial, is currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our team in Akron, OH. As a key part of our warehouse team, this role is focused on supporting the movement, organization, and inventory of hydraulic hose products. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately loading/unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, and assisting with inventory and warehouse maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks carrying industrial hose products and related materials.
• Store, organize, and move hoses, fittings, and equipment throughout the warehouse using proper material-handling techniques.
• Accurately pull and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Maintain proper labeling, tagging, and placement of inventory on shelves.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and help reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.
• Follow company safety procedures and warehouse protocols at all times.
• Assist other warehouse personnel and departments as needed.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse experience preferred, especially in an industrial setting.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Comfortable working with heavy-duty materials, such as large hydraulic hoses.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to efficiently operate a forklift (certification preferred or willing to obtain).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
• Must possess a clean driving record.
