What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Preschool Teacher position at Sing In Chinese?
Sing In Chinese Preschool is looking to train a warm, energetic, and dedicated Spanish-speaking Preschool Teacher who enjoys working with children ages 1.5 to 6 years old in a language-rich environment.
Formal preschool teaching experience is not required, although experience working with young children is preferred.
Currently possess the necessary 12 ECE units for a preschool teacher or plan to complete them soon.
The teacher will support our classrooms and introduce Spanish to children through daily interactions, play, songs, stories, and structured activities. This role is ideal for someone who is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, Spanish, Education, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Engage and care for children in a safe, nurturing environment
- Introduce Spanish through conversation, songs, and activities
- Support lead teachers in daily classroom routines
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere
- Communicate professionally with staff and families
Qualifications
- Legal to work in the United states
- Native Spanish speaker and Fluent (required)
- Fluent in English and can effectively communicate with parents
- Currently pursuing or interested in pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- Currently possess the necessary 12 ECE units for a preschool teacher or plan to complete them soon
- Must comply with all requirements of CDSS including Live Scan fingerprinting
- Experience working with young children (preferred but not required)
