Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure using schematics and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated systems efficiently.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
- Support facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, and general repairs to uphold safety and aesthetic standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents to accurately diagnose issues.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with small teams during maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and tasks are completed on time.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or maintenance support.
- Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential settings.
- Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting control systems with PLCs and wiring schematics.
- Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to fabricate or repair metal components.
- Mechanical knowledge covering HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and general machinery repair.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration.
- Experience working with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
