Role Overview
The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects across New York City. This role works closely with the Project Manager, design teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Strong communication, interpretation and coordination skills are vital to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and daily coordination.
- Facilitate clear communication among project stakeholders.
- Create and issue project meeting minutes
- Management of drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals through Procore
- Verify subcontractor RFIs against project documentation prior to uploading through Procore.
- Update Project Logs (RFI, Submittal, Procurement etc.)
- Subcontractor
- Support procurement activities and subcontractor/vendor coordination.
- Support Project Team throughout the project duration
- Management of material BOLs for all GC supplied materials
- Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports
- Coordinate subcontractor and consultant field issues alongside Project superintendent
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Ability to understand a full set of construction documents
- 2-3 years of experience in construction or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with MS Project, Bluebeam, or Procore is a plus, but not required.
