What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP) - IHS position at Sincere Care Inc?
We are hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide Individualized Home Support (IHS) services. In this role, you will support individuals in their homes and community by promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support based on each individual’s care plan
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support meal planning and preparation
- Assist with community integration (appointments, errands, social activities)
- Provide medication reminders (as allowed)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation (daily notes, EVV/clock-in systems)
- Monitor and report any changes in the individual’s condition or behavior
- Follow all company policies and 245D regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, or in healthcare is preferred but not required
- Must pass background study
- Has Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Experience working with high-behavior clients preferred
- Comfortable supporting individuals with hoarding tendencies
- Experience working with elderly clients is a plus
- Must be comfortable working in homes with pets (cats and dogs)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
