Job Summary:
Sincera Health in Pella, Iowa, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team. The Provider will deliver high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, managing a wide range of urgent and non-urgent health issues. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic conditions, injuries, and illnesses.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and other therapies.
- Perform minor procedures, including suturing, splinting, and wound care.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with best practices in urgent care medicine.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Physician Assistant (PA)with a current license to practice in Iowa
- Board Certified
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform a wide range of procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an urgent care setting.
- Additional certifications relevant to urgent care (e.g., PALS, ATLS).
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time or Full-time position with variable shifts, including evenings and weekends
- At times a fast-paced urgent care environment.
- Physical demands include standing for long periods, walking, and handling medical equipment.
