Role: Blockchain Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ/ Tampa, FL
Role Overview:
Design, develop, and implement distributed ledger solutions to modernize post-trade financial infrastructure, including clearing, settlement, and asset servicing systems. Work within high-throughput, regulated environments to enhance transparency, resilience, and efficiency using blockchain technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain blockchain-based applications for financial market infrastructure.
- Design smart contracts and distributed ledger solutions using platforms like Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, or Ethereum.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and operations teams to modernize clearing and settlement systems.
- Integrate blockchain solutions with existing enterprise systems and legacy infrastructure.
- Ensure security, scalability, and performance of distributed systems.
- Participate in system design, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
- Contribute to cloud-native deployments using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement data privacy and permissioning models in enterprise blockchain networks.
- Support testing, debugging, and production deployment of DLT applications.
Required Skills:
- Strong programming experience in Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with blockchain frameworks:
- Hyperledger Fabric
- R3 Corda
- Ethereum / Solidity
- Understanding of distributed systems and consensus mechanisms.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and system integration.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cryptography fundamentals (hashing, digital signatures).
- Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in financial services, capital markets, or fintech.
- Understanding of clearing, settlement, and trade lifecycle.
- Exposure to DTCC initiatives like Project Ion.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, messaging systems).
